Heading Off

Trade rumors have been coming up lately. It's time to discuss the latest I just found:

Tracy McGrady

Many teams have been eying Tracy McGrady throughout the year so far. The biggest interest is coming from the Washington Wizards, who have lost Gilbert Arenas for yet another year. It's been since 2006 they have been satisfied fully with him. It was reported that the Wizards would give up Brendan Haywood and Caron Butler for T-Mac. The Wizards have also been eying his teammate, Luis Scola.

Another team includes the 76ers, who would swap Andre Iguodala for Tracy McGrady to free up some cap space. The New York Knicks have been a contender for T-Mac all year so far as well. Chicago was also in contention, but now with them winning again, it looks highly unlikely.

Andre Iguodala

Like I said before, he could go to the Rockets for Tracy McGrady. But the big contender are the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were reported of giving up Zydrunas Ilgauskas' expiring contract. But according Ric Bucher, the Cavaliers are out of the sweepstakes for Iguodala now.

Dallas is also a choice. With Josh Howard struggling, Dallas can bring in Mr. Iggy. The Phoenix Suns would give Amare Stoudemire for him, but the Suns might need to clear cap space maybe and it would be very hard to make such a deal. I say it'll be Dallas. I don't see Iguodala staying with Philly.

Jason Thompson

The Charlotte Bobcats have been eying athletic forward Jason Thompson of the Kings. Says Kings' president Geoff Petrie:

"I think if we're going to trade for another player and take on significant money, you'd have to feel like you're getting some real bang for your dollar."
The Bobcats are very interested for Jason Thompson, but it'll be a very slim chance of him leaving. The Kings are mostly interested in giving away Kevin Martin and are also looking at Andris Biedrins and Brendan Haywood so far on other teams.

Looks like Jason is staying, folks!

NBA Teams

The Minnesota Timberwolves say they are looking to trade some of they players to compliment Al Jefferson and Kevin Love. But he never stated who. Clever. Along with that, the T-Wolves look to put Ramon Sessions on the trade block this summer if they bring in Ricky Rubio from Spain. We'll see what happens.

The New York Knicks have been looking to trade Jared Jeffries or Eddy Curry before the 18th. Says Mike D'Antoni:
"The key is it's got to fit into the plan. It's got to be right. I think we as an organization, we're looking all the time, trying to better the team without messing up the long-term plan. It's a tricky thing to do. We'll keep looking. [Team president] Donnie Walsh will keep looking."
Ray Allen

Ray Allen has been struggling all year. With the trade deadline coming closer, many trade rumors have sparking up with Allen.

Says Chris Sheridan:
"If Allen has a chance to hit the game-winner 10 different times, how many times do you think he'll knock it down? If your answer is five or fewer, you may be thinking the same thing I am: The time has come for the Celtics to think long and hard about whether they want to head into the postseason with their main core intact; or whether they want to explore the possibility of trading Allen and his expiring $18.8 million deal for a package of players that'll make them a better team."
Now people, these are just RUMORS! I don't see Allen leaving. I've talked to some Celtics fans/writers and they don't see Allen leaving either. However, Boston has been interested in the Warriors' players. I have been seeing rumors sparking up of Ray Allen going to Golden State for Monta Ellis. Or, keep Allen and trade some players from Boston to the Warriors and take in Ellis and Maggette. It's a very complicated  situation, but I don't see any of it happening.

Well, so far, these are the trade rumors as of now. I don't expect all of it to happen, but I can see some. We'll wait and see....
